Here at Carry on the Magic Vacations we are filled with gratitude. Gratitude for our clients for being the best in the world. Gratitude that we get to be involved in making magical memories. Gratitude that we get to travel and explore. In November, we try to really focus on that gratitude. A portion of our sales every November goes to a foundation, this year the American Cancer Society and as a team we talk about other ways we can give back. One of out favorite things to do in November is to highlight the foundations and initiatives that our favorite destinations work with from Give the Kids the World to The Sandals Foundation, your travel is more than just supporting a small business; it supports change and light for people in need. Foundations that we love:
Give the Kids the World - Walt Disney World
From their website “Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre, nonprofit "storybook" resort in Central Florida. Here, children with critical illnesses and their families are treated to weeklong, cost-free vacations.” Give the Kids the World is crucial for wish making foundations in making those dream Walt Disney World trips a reality. The Sandals Foundation- Beaches and Sandals
From their website “The Sandals Foundation is a non-profit organization launched in March 2009 to help Sandals Resorts International continue to make a difference in the Caribbean. All costs associated with administration and management is supported by Sandals Resorts International so that 100% of every dollar donated goes directly towards funding impactful and meaningful initiatives within the key areas of Education, Community and Environment.” Right now critical funds are being used to assist in the recover form Hurricane Melissa, but overall the Sandal’s Foundation supports communities in which their resorts are based ensuring better education, sustainable travel, and food security for island nations. Make a Wish Foundation- Multiple agencies including Disney Destinations and Royal Caribbean International From their website “For children diagnosed with critical illnesses, a wish come true can be a crucial turning point in their lives. A wish can be that spark that helps these children believe that anything is possible and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illnesses. This impact is why we are driven to make every one of these wishes come true.” On Royal Caribbean Ships they will sell t-shirts and have fundraising walks on your sea days!
