Disneyland Resort's 2025 Halloween Celebration and 70th Anniversary Highlights

2025 is flying by, bringing us closer to the magical fall season at Disneyland Resort, still celebrating its 70th Anniversary. From August 22 to October 31, enjoy Halloween Time filled with classic decorations, pumpkins, and festive fall charm. 

Experience the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay featuring Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, the “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular with Disney villains, and fireworks on select nights. Radiator Springs transforms into Radiator Screams with special Halloween overlays, and Avengers Campus hosts the thrilling Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Families will love “Mickey’s Trick and Treat,” a fun interactive show perfect for all ages. 

Take the Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour for exclusive access and reserved viewing. Join Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit scavenger hunt across the parks and Downtown Disney for prizes. 

At the Disneyland Resort hotels, enjoy Halloween themed decorations, character meet and greets, treat trails, in room celebrations, and new Disney Villain cocktails at Broken Spell Lounge. The Grand Californian Hotel offers pumpkin carving, festive displays, and themed spa treatments. 

From August 22 to November 2, Plaza de la Familia celebrates Día de los Muertos with live entertainment, crafts, and Mexican cuisine. The new Disney Pixar Coco Collection launches in early September. 

Oogie Boogie Bash returns with afterhours fun, treat trails, a spooky parade, and dessert party options. Tickets go on sale June 26, with early access for Magic Key holders. 

All fall festivities blend with the 70th Anniversary celebrations, including “Paint the Night,” “World of Color Happiness!,” and themed touches throughout the resort. It’s a truly magical season you won’t want to miss! 

Jason Returns in Halloween Horror Nights Haunted House Experience

Halloween Horror Nights introduces horror movie icon Jason from the infamous Friday the 13th films in all original haunted house, “Jason Universe,” which transports guests back to the summer camp where the gruesome legend began.   

For 45 years, Jason has terrorized audiences worldwide and is regarded as one of the most notorious villains in cinematic history. This fall, the twisted, creative minds behind Halloween Horror Nights pay tribute to the machete wielding slasher in a terrifying haunted house that brings the legend back to life to frighten both old and new fans. 

“Jason Universe” will guide Halloween Horror Nights guests through the summer camp where it all started, from the creaking floorboards of Jason’s rundown cabin to the decaying main lodge and the eerie forest that offers no escape for his victims. At every turn, fans will encounter infamous moments from Jason’s deadly career as he taunts and stalks his victims who discover too late that the legend is real. 

The event kicks off on Friday, August 29 at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 4 at Universal Studios Hollywood. Guests can purchase tickets and event inclusive vacation packages for Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights, which will run on 48 select nights from August 29 through November 2, featuring 10 terrifying haunted houses, scare zones, live shows, and more.
