Disney Introduces Luggage Assistance Program for Smooth Travel from Select Resorts
Starting April 3, visitors staying at select Disney Resort hotels will experience a new level of convenience with the introduction of a luggage assistance program aimed at enhancing travel efficiency. This innovative service allows guests to drop off their checked bags with Luggage Assistance for seamless delivery to Southwest Airlines at the Orlando International Airport (MCO). The transportation of luggage will be managed by a third-party provider, adding ease to the travel experience for Disney guests.
This initiative stems from Disney's ongoing collaboration with Orlando International Airport to alleviate the high demand for travel to the Central Florida area, thus improving the overall experience not only for Disney guests but for all travelers passing through MCO.
As this program is in its pilot phase, continuous evaluation and adjustments will ensure a smooth implementation and operation. Guests are encouraged to provide feedback during this period as Disney aims to refine the service further.
The luggage assistance service will initially roll out at the following locations starting April 3:
Disney’s AllStar Movies Resort
Disney’s AllStar Music Resort
Disney’s AllStar Sports Resort
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
However, it’s important to note that this service does not extend to luggage transportation from the airport back to a Disney Resort hotel.
For guests whose flights are scheduled to depart before 1 p.m., luggage must be dropped off at Luggage Assistance by 1 a.m. the night before departure. For flights departing at 1 p.m. or later, guests should deliver their bags at least 4 hours prior to departure, but no later than 1 p.m.
Through this service, Disney continues its tradition of personalized hospitality, ensuring that every guest enjoys a magical and hassle-free travel experience, right up to their departure.
