Southwest Airlines introduces luggage delivery service for Disney Resort guests
Starting November 18, guests arriving on domestic Southwest Airlines flights at Orlando International Airport (MCO) and staying at select Disney Resort hotels will have the option to bypass baggage claim by checking their luggage at the Southwest bag drop area or ticket counter for direct delivery to their resort.Â

This service, facilitated by BagCheck, a third party provider, ensures luggage is transported from the airport and delivered to the resort within approximately four hours of arrival.Â

Guests staying at participating Disney Resorts will receive an email this week detailing the new service:Â

We are pleased to announce a pilot program for guests flying Southwest Airlines into Orlando International Airport (MCO) and staying at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels. This new convenience allows you to skip baggage claim and have your checked luggage delivered directly to your Disney Resort hotel.Â

The service will be available for flights arriving on or after November 18, 2025. Registration opens 30 days before departure and closes 5 days before departure for guests who wish to use this service.Â

EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Returns for 2025
The beloved EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is set to return from November 28 through December 30, 2025, offering guests a rich blend of festive entertainment, cultural traditions, and seasonal cuisine.Â

Visitors can experience the Candlelight Processional, a nightly storytelling of the nativity with live orchestra and celebrity narrators. Throughout the World Showcase, Holiday Storytellers share unique customs from each country, providing an educational and festive atmosphere.Â

Foodies will enjoy the Holiday Kitchens, featuring a mix of new and returning seasonal dishes and beverages. The Holiday Cookie Stroll invites guests to sample select cookies and earn a special prize. Seasonal ride overlays, such as the sparkling Living with the Land attraction, add extra holiday magic.Â

CommuniCore Hall transforms into a hub for holiday cheer, hosting Santa meet and greets, a spectacular Gingerbread Spaceship Earth display, and frequent light shows. Olaf fans can join a festive scavenger hunt around the park to discover holiday traditions.Â

With festive decorations, cultural experiences, and special activities, the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays remains a highlight of the Walt Disney World holiday season. Â

Walt Disney World's Holiday Season Launch at Disney Springs
Walt Disney World Resort has officially kicked off the holiday season with a festive Christmas tree lighting ceremony held at Disney Springs. The event marked the start of a magical time filled with enchanting entertainment and seasonal celebrations that guests and families can enjoy throughout the winter.Â

One of the highlights this year is the return of the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll, featuring over 19 beautifully themed trees inspired by popular Disney movies like Coco, Moana, and The Princess and the Frog. Guests can participate in an interactive activity by collecting stickers from each tree and redeeming their completed guide for a special surprise, while some trees offer interactive elements through MagicBand+ technology.Â

New to Disney Springs this season is the Disney Enchanted Holiday Art Gallery, showcasing original artwork and prints from 11 featured artists, many of whom are Florida natives. The gallery features a variety of styles and Disney inspired themes, including classic characters like Mickey and Minnie, Alice in Wonderland, and Beauty and the Beast, with artist signing events scheduled throughout the season.Â

Dining options reflect the festive spirit as well, with Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar offering a holiday themed menu through January 4, alongside sweet treats available at Amorette’s Patisserie, The Ganachery, and Marketplace Snacks. Holiday entertainment brings extra cheer with DJ Sleigh spinning festive tunes, including new songs from the Jonas Brothers’ Christmas movie soundtrack, performances by Toy Soldier Stilt Walkers and Drummers, Holiday Skaters, and the impressive Douglas Fir display. Shoppers can browse festive window displays and find perfect gifts at World of Disney. Guests can also meet Santa Claus at Santa’s Marketplace, with virtual queue access available via the My Disney Experience app.Â
