Updates on Disney's Animal Kingdom and upcoming Tropical Americas opening
Disney's Animal Kingdom is expanding, with Tropical Americas scheduled to open in 2027.
To prepare for Tropical Americas and ensure the best guest experience, there are some upcoming changes:
DinoLand U.S.A. will permanently close on February 2, 2026. This means the last day to enjoy DINOSAUR, The Dino Institute Shop, Restaurantosaurus, and Restaurantosaurus Lounge is February 1, 2026.
This winter, Harambe Market will temporarily close so it can reopen in early 2026 serving popular items from DinoLand when it closes.
Kali River Rapids will close temporarily starting October 6, 2025, and is expected to reopen in December 2025.
Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond! will stay open for guests.
Donald, Daisy, Chip, and Dale will continue to greet visitors at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
We’re excited for Tropical Americas to welcome guests in 2027.
Blizzard Beach Water Park Temporarily Closing for Refurbishment
