Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights Introduces First-Ever “Fallout” Haunted House Experience
For horror enthusiasts and theme park guests alike, Universal Studios is bringing a new level of terror with an all-new haunted house based on Prime Video’s critically acclaimed series “Fallout.” Debuting on August 29 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 4 at Universal Studios Hollywood, this thrilling experience invites visitors into the post-apocalyptic world of the popular franchise for the very first time.
Inspired by Bethesda Game Studios’ globally celebrated video game and the 2024 Prime Video adaptation, “Fallout” is set in the year 2296, two centuries after a devastating nuclear war. The world has been transformed into a violent wasteland inhabited by mutated creatures and desperate survivors. Beneath the shattered surface, some seek refuge in luxurious underground fallout shelters known as Vaults.
The haunted house experience begins in Vault 33, following the story of vault-dweller Lucy MacLean as she escapes a brutal massacre and unearths a sinister secret. Guests then emerge into the dangerous wasteland, navigating threats from ruthless Scavengers and Raiders, evasive mutated RAD Roaches, and other horrifying creatures. Along the way, visitors encounter iconic locations such as the Super-Duper Mart and meet characters including The Ghoul, an immortal bounty hunter, and Maximus, a young squire clad in impressive T-60 armor.
This eerily authentic attraction offers fans an immersive journey through the “Fallout” universe, packed with chilling encounters and intense thrills at every turn. It promises a unique and unforgettable adventure for those brave enough to face the haunting terrors of The Wasteland.
For travelers passionate about theme parks and immersive experiences, this new haunted house is a must-see this Halloween season at Universal Studios.

Exciting Developments Underway at Disneyland Resort: New Parking, Transportation Hub, and Upcoming Attractions
Disneyland Resort is gearing up for a major transformation to improve guest experience and make way for thrilling new attractions. A brand-new parking structure and transportation hub will be built on the east side of the resort, part of the current Manchester cast member parking area. This facility will provide around 6,000 parking spots, dedicated zones for shuttles and rideshares, security screening, and streamlined traffic access from Disney Way. One of the highlights is a pedestrian bridge over Harbor Boulevard that will lead to a redesigned arrival esplanade—making your entry to the parks smoother and more enjoyable. Construction on this project is scheduled to begin in fall 2026.
Alongside these transportation upgrades, Disneyland is also expanding its entertainment offerings. The much anticipated “Coco” attraction will be constructed near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, starting this fall in backstage areas. Meanwhile, plans are underway to develop an Avatar themed destination by transforming part of the Hollywood Backlot area of Disney California Adventure Park. As part of this development, the popular Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! attraction will close in early 2026 to make way for this new experience.
These infrastructure improvements and new rides are part of the resort’s vision to accommodate more guests and provide fresh, immersive adventures, including doubling the size of Avengers Campus with two new attractions. It’s an exciting time ahead for Disneyland Resort, promising enhanced convenience and even more magic for future visits.

Piston Peak National Park Enhances Magic Kingdom's Storytelling Experience
We’re excited to reveal that Piston Peak National Park will carry on the grand storytelling tradition that has connected Liberty Square and Frontierland since Magic Kingdom first opened its doors.
Since the park’s inception, visitors have embarked on a journey through time and space, moving from the colonial charm of Liberty Square to the rugged adventures of Frontierland. This expedition includes a lively concert in the North Woods, a visit to New Orleans with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and culminates at the breathtaking Arizona cliffs of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Central to these tales are heroic figures with unwavering belief in their dreams. Piston Peak National Park now joins this narrative as part of Magic Kingdom’s most extensive expansion to date.
Picture a spectacular wilderness filled with towering pines, snow-covered peaks, cascading waterfalls, rushing rivers, and dramatic geysers. Although a fictional locale, Piston Peak draws inspiration from the Rocky Mountains and the historic beauty of America’s national parks.
Within Piston Peak, guests will discover a visitor center, Ranger Headquarters, scenic trails, and more — all set within the beloved Disney and Pixar “Cars” world. To ensure the buildings blend naturally with the stunning surroundings, Imagineers employ “Parkitecture," an architectural approach developed by the National Park Service to harmonize structures with their environment.
Outside, trees will act as a gentle barrier separating the offroad rally from Liberty Square and Frontierland. Jagged mountain peaks will be nestled alongside peaceful waterways near Grizzly Hall, while towering geysers from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will extend into the rally trails.
As construction ramps up this summer, the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and Liberty Square Riverboat will close beginning July 7. Meanwhile, Imagineers are also developing a groundbreaking new land inspired by Disney Villains, featuring two major rides, dining options, and shopping — all on an impressively monumental scale.
This incredible expansion continues Magic Kingdom’s tradition of rich storytelling and immersive experiences, inviting guests to discover new adventures alongside cherished characters and stunning natural vistas.
